In addition to producing 5 hotel-scale DulhanExpo exhibitions annually since 2003, throughout the New York and New Jersey region, Sumit Arya is widely recognized for creating and organizing the world's largest South Asian bridal shows. For 13 consecutive years, from 2006 through 2018, he produced the Annual International Grand DulhanExpo, a landmark event that attracted more than 285 booths, showcasing 175+ exhibitors and 5000+ audiences per show—setting a benchmark unmatched within the South Asian wedding industry. Hosted at premier convention venues including the Garden State Exhibit Center and the Meadowlands Exposition Center, these mega-exhibitions brought together wedding professionals, designers, retailers, and event specialists from seven countries, creating an international marketplace for the wedding and events industry.
The International Grand DulhanExpo became renowned not only for its unprecedented scale but also for its world-class entertainment and cultural programming. The events featured live performances by internationally acclaimed artists including Jay Sean, RDB, Mickey Singh, Arjun, Raghav, Kamal Raja, Ali Haider, Culture Shock, The PropheC, Raxstar, Amar Sandhu, Bilz & Kashif, Tasha Tah, Jay Kadn, Roach Killa, Mumzy Stranger, and numerous other performers and Fashion Designers from the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Pakistan, and the United States. By combining wedding planning, fashion, entertainment, and international business networking under one roof, Sumit transformed the traditional bridal show into a large-scale consumer experience that helped redefine the South Asian wedding expo industry worldwide.
